Meet Your Hosts

AARON GINGRAS

About Aaron

Drummer, Management, Production

Hi – I’m Aaron. I have worn a number of hats during my music and touring career, but I have spent the majority of my time as Production for a recording artist, and as manager and drummer in my melodic punk band, Suburban Samurai.

Based in Burlington, Vermont, we have toured New England, the Mid Atlantic, and the Mid West USA with approximately 30-50 shows a year since 2016. Now we're enjoying the process of writing a new record.

In addition to spending the last four years very much inside a world of punk rock, I have also spent a number of years working closely with a musical artist in a production capacity which has allowed me to be involved with numerous concert tours, promotional events, and private gigs on five continents.

Whether we’re talking about gigs in a Brazilian soccer stadium, an arena in Melbourne, Jazzfest in Montreal, or a punk rock club in Boston, I appreciate the consistent and honest work that goes into music and its supporting industries.

JAMES CROSS

About James

Tour support staff, audio engineer, and Bandhive founder

I began my path down the long, winding road of the music industry in 2009 as a host at a local radio station.

Since then, I've helped artists throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico with their bands and music. I've done things from writing reviews and interviewing bands to live production and tour management – the latter two being my favorite.

As a three time veteran of The Vans Warped Tour and several smaller tours, I understand the touring lifestyle and what is required for bands to hit the road the right way.

MATT HOOS

About Matt

Singer, songwriter, and frontman for Alive in Barcelona

Over 10 years in the music industry, over 200,000 miles toured, a top 100 radio single for 6 weeks, and two full length albums that charted on billboard.

I hate seeing people work hard to make it in a “dog-eat-dog” industry, so I run a music coaching business to help educate, enlighten, and reinvigorate musicians who feel like they’re not gaining the traction they want.

In short, I have a passion for teaching others to succeed.
